We do offer two language courses during the academic year: an Intensive Spanish Language and Culture course (4 ECTS) before the start of the first semester (end of August) and a free semester-long course (Spanish as a Foreign Language 6 ECTS) for all exchange students during their stay at UFV .
We highly recommend the Intensive Spanish Course before the beginning of classes to those students that do not feel self-confident with their level of Spanish and they have to follow the courses in Spanish during their stay or to those students who would like an immersive course to be able to defend oneself in Spanish in their daily life in Madrid.
As the teaching language at UFV in most of the courses is Spanish, a B1 level is highly advisable to be able to follow lectures. It is not only important for your academic courses but also for your integration to daily life in Madrid. The course Spanish as a Foreign Language is taught during the fall or spring semester and is especially recommended for International students and non students that wish to supplement their studies or professional training with accredited Spanish language skills. Students will be awarded credits from the UFV upon having passed and completed each class. Classes will be taught 2 hours a day, two days a week). All levels from beginner (A1) to advance (C1).
DELE Spanish Diplomas are official titles certifying degree of competence and mastery of the Spanish language, granted by Spain’s Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport. You can also obtain the DELE Spanish Diploma at UFV as we are one of the official DELE examination center.
