MEDICINE AND BIOMEDICAL SCIENCES
- TRAINING ACTIVITIES:
SEMINARS, COURSES AND WORKSHOPS (50 HOURS)
This training activity includes attendance at research seminars, scientific and technical training and specialisation courses, and specific monographic workshops on a topic related to your research topic.
- Training courses will be evaluated by means of tests, verification of your active participation in the sessions and/or the presentation of individual work or groupwork.
- Scientific seminars will be evaluated based on student attendance and participation. You must obtain at least 10 hours per year during the first two years of the PhD through participation in these activities.
CONFERENCES (45 HOURS)
This includes attendance to national and international conferences related to the research topic of your PhD thesis, which will take place throughout the duration of the programme. The attendance schedule will be determined by the interest and the subject matter of the conferences each year, in order to guarantee your participation in those which you consider, together with your Tutor/Supervisor, to be most relevant for your training.
TEACHING COLLABORATION (60 HOURS)
PhD students may collaborate in teaching degree courses taught at the Faculty of Biomedical Sciences at UFV. Under no circumstances may this teaching collaboration exceed the 60 hours per year established in the Statute of Research Staff in Training (Royal Decree 63/2006 of 27 January, BOE 3 February 2006).
MOBILITY (20 HOURS)
The mobility programme for PhD students includes:
- Attendance at seminars, workshops and courses of specialisation given in institutions other than Francisco de Vitoria University.
- Research stays in laboratories of other universities, hospitals and research centres (both public and private). These will be carried out once approved by the PhD Thesis Supervisor and may last a maximum of three months per year of the PhD, depending on the needs and availability of the candidate and the host institution.
