Promote research and intervention on forgiveness in different areas (educational, familial, therapeutic, social) at both national and international levels.

To accomplish this mission, the Institute sets forth the following general objectives:

1. Promote lines of research related to forgiveness from various disciplines.
2. Promote and participate in events disseminating research and teaching on forgiveness and related topics
3. Foster the creation of networks and international collaboration, both in research and teaching related to forgiveness from various areas of knowledge.

The Forgiveness Institute at UFV aims to cultivate an interdisciplinary academic perspective capable of recognizing reality free from ideological restrictions, avoiding both the reductionism of instrumental reason and a humanism disconnected from reality and scientific research.
