Francisco de Vitoria Forum
Center for the Global Common Good
The Forum is constituted as a space for reflection and analysis on the major issues of today’s society, based on the contribution of the tradition of Christian thought to the reading of the signs of the times, with a view to contributing to the global common good. It is a result of the work carried out during the years 2021 and 2022 in the permanent seminar on the global common good. This seminar examined, from the perspectives of theology, philosophy, law, economics, business and political science, the concept of the global common good, its nuances, implications and applications. It is on this basis that we want to take a further step forwards.
Its main aim is to contribute to the Church’s call for universities – particularly Catholic universities – to be forums for the generation of thought that contributes to the transformation of society in accordance with the Gospel and the tradition of the Church. More specifically, it aims to serve specific actors in political, business, cultural and social life, with analyses based on CST that will shed light on the daily work of organizations that operate in these spheres.
The Forum is part of the Center for the Global Common Good, with the aim of illuminating all its practical research activity from the Catholic Social Teachings and the best Catholic social thought.
