who are we?
The Institute of Guidance and Counselling of the Francisco de Vitoria University was created in 2019, as a natural continuation of the more than 25 years that our university has been supporting and training students and professionals in their personal development. Support is currently a hallmark of the UFV, creating a network of interpersonal and community relationships, which have naturally or due to their purpose favored a culture of support.
What is our aim?
Our main goal is that all the students of the University are supported through appropriate plans and means thanks to a community of well-trained and well-supported mentors. We are a lively, trained, capable and motivating community whose aim is to ensure students are supported from the first to the last year of their degree.

Student: To offer a student support program adapted to each degree level, from the beginning to the end of the course.

Trainers: To be a department specialized in the training of trainers in support through training and qualification pathways.
Research: To be a focal point of thought in relation to accompaniment inside and outside the UFV.
UFV Community: To be a team in collaboration with the other departments and faculties of the UFV, based around support.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT THE PROGRAMS
Can I take a program if I am not studying a degree at UFV?
Unfortunately, the programs fall within our specialized academic options for students enrolled in an undergraduate program at UFV.
What does the term ‘regulated programs’ mean?
It refers to the fact that the programs in terms of learning and teaching are valued by the Ministry of Universities, therefore, depending on the activities and the nature of the program are credited with an amount of ECTS.
Are there postgraduate programs?
There are no specific programs created for postgraduate studies, however, there are several training programs that may be of interest to you related to support.
How do I become a mentor?
Mentors support students in the process of knowledge, acceptance and self-improvement. This mentoring process was understood at UFV as educational support. Apply to be a mentor UFV.
Who provides support in the different programs?
Mentoring is provided by our team of mentors, except for the Ally Academy program, which is mentored by UFV students.
What is the difference between the programs?
Each program is different and supports students through their different stages of their university journey, starting with peer orientation, personal development, volunteering, international mobility and the beginning of working life. They are also present in different degrees and make up the experience of supporting the UFV student in relation to his or her Humanistic Training.
