MAKERS UFV
Makers UFV was established with the objective of raising awareness about the Digital Fabrication Laboratory, which is housed within the university. This laboratory is a multidisciplinary space that allows students from different disciplines to collaborate on projects, fostering a cross-disciplinary approach and creating a vibrant learning environment.
This space is designed to facilitate the development of prototypes that address tangible societal challenges through the use of advanced manufacturing techniques, including 3D printing and CNC machining. Moreover, electronics can be incorporated into the design process, enabling us to impart distinctive functionality to these devices.
We facilitate a collaborative environment where creativity, knowledge exchange among peers, and personal motivation to create and innovate—what we refer to as the “maker culture,” inherited from the “Do It Yourself” movement—can flourish.
The primary objectives of this Alumni Society are to cultivate a university community of students with a passion for digital fabrication, creativity, and innovation; to undertake projects that have a positive impact on society; to stimulate creativity and innovation; to provide students with training from experts so that they can train other students; and to work as a team to achieve the objectives set.
