RESEARCH ETHICS COMMITTEE

WHAT IS THE UFV RESEARCH ETHICS COMMITTEE?

The Research Ethics Committee of the Francisco de Vitoria University (UFV) evaluates and authorizes research involving animal experimentation on human beings, use of their personal data, etc., to be carried out at the UFV.

The Committee aims to ensure respect for the dignity, integrity and identity of human beings in the fields of biological and genetic experimentation and scientific research, as well as the proper treatment of animals used as experimental models and respect and care for the environment.

All research projects that are submitted to the Committee’s report and obtain a favorable result will receive the corresponding document accrediting this, for the purposes of their possible publication or dissemination. In addition, the Committee is empowered to request from the researchers of a project under evaluation any additional information it deems necessary for an adequate analysis of the ethical dimension of the project.

Its main aim is to ensure compliance with the ethical principles and commitments acquired by the scientific community in general.
