RESEARCH INDEX I2
WHAT IS THE I2 RESEARCH INDEX AND WHAT IS IT USED FOR?
The UFV Research Index I2 is a measure of research activity in terms of objective results. It will be used to:
- Correctly assess the research activity of each professor.
- Adequately balance the management, teaching and research load of the UFV faculty.
- Assess the aggregate research activity of the different UFV units, faculties, degrees, institutes, chairs, stable research groups, etc.
The CVN CIENTIA application calculates the I2 from the data included in the Curriculum.
The information collected in the I2 refers to a calendar year, not to the researcher’s entire career.
