APPLIED MATHEMATICS, COMPUTATION AND SIMULATION (GIIMACS)

Group coordinator
Main lines of research

Evolution of modeling and simulation techniques for complex systems. Design of metrics and indicators for the evaluation of the implementation maturity of alternative organizational models. Dynamics and complexity of the cognitive process and its representation by means of computational systems. Evolution of mathematics as a means and end of instruction by means of technological tools and simulators.

Study of complex systems from self-assembled metamaterials. Dynamics of directional solidification of eutectics for optical applications. Exploitation of additive manufacturing techniques (3D printing) for the fabrication of high optical contrast microstructures and their infrared and microwave applications. Simulations of these microstructures for the search of optical applications.
