  • TRAINING ACTIVITIES

SEMINARS, COURSES AND WORKSHOPS (50 HOURS)

This training activity includes attendance at research seminars, scientific and technical training and specialization courses and specific monographic workshops on a topic related to the student’s research topic.

  • Training courses, will be evaluated by means of exams, verification of students’ active participation in lecture sessions and/or presentation of individual or team work.
  • Scientific seminars, this activity will be evaluated on the basis of students’ attendance and participation. Students must obtain at least 10 hours per year during the first two years of the doctorate through participation in these activities

CONFERENCES (45 HOURS)

Attendance to national and international congresses related to the subject of the research work object of the Doctoral Thesis. This will be carried out throughout the doctoral program. The temporal planning will be determined by the interest and subject matter of the congresses held each year, in order to guarantee the students the option of participating in those they consider, together with their tutors/directors, more interesting for their training.

TEACHING COLLABORATION (60 HOURS)

Doctoral students may collaborate in the teaching of undergraduate degrees taught in the Faculty of Experimental Sciences, the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Health Sciences of the UFV. This teaching collaboration will only be required to those full-time doctoral students who are beneficiaries of a Predoctoral Researcher in Training (IPF) contract and in no case may it exceed the 60 hours per year established in the Statute of Research Staff in Training (Royal Decree 63/2006 of January 27, BOE February 3, 2006).

MOBILITY (20 HOURS)

The mobility program for PhD students includes:

  • Attendance to seminars, workshops and courses of specialization given in institutions other than the Universidad Francisco de Vitoria.
  • Research stays in laboratories of other Universities, hospitals and research centers, both public and private. They will be carried out with the prior approval of the director of the Doctoral Thesis, and may have a maximum duration of three months per year of Doctorate, depending on the needs and availability of the candidate and the host institution.
