UFV has become one of the universities with the highest placement rate in Journalism, according to data from the Ministry of Education. Students such as Óscar Mijallo, RTVE correspondent; Irene Sánchez, Emmy-winning journalist for NBC Telemundo Miami; or Angie Rigueiro, sports anchor at Antena 3, have passed through our classrooms.

From day one you will be on a television set, in a radio studio or with a microphone in your hand telling stories, interviewing people and learning how to communicate through different channels.
Your professors will be working journalists such as Pablo A. Iglesias, Information Director at Servimedia; Alejandro Requeijo, journalist specialized in Interior and Courts; Alfredo Arense, journalist at RTVE, etc.

You will be able to do internships in companies such as Atresmedia, Europa Press, RTVE, La Fábrica de la Tele, Onda Cero, Unidad Editorial, etc. and if you want, you can also work in the UFV media, the Mirada 21 group (television, newspaper, radio, production company and advertising agency).

Your classes will be held in our own communication building, considered one of the best in Europe, which has television sets, radio studios, editing and post-production rooms, video game development lab, WACOM room, photography lab, newspaper editing room, etc. In addition, you can borrow state-of-the-art audiovisual equipment to carry out your projects (photo cameras, television cameras, audio equipment, etc.).
Internships in national and international companies
You will carry out your professional internship in the best media, production companies and communication agencies such as EFE and Europa Press, Atresmedia, COPE, Globomedia, etc. This internship will allow you to enter the working world, be part of a journalistic team and develop the skills of your profession.
International Agreements
We have more than 200 exchange agreements, so you can study at a university in America, Europe or Asia, where you will learn about other audiovisual environments and broaden your horizons. In addition, you will live on the UFV campus with students of different nationalities.

A journalist has a deep sense of responsibility to society, as his or her work informs and shapes public opinion. Faced with the enormous challenge of communicating something valuable, based on truth and that transforms society, you will take take in humanistic training and social action with which you will acquire a deep look at the world. This will make you an agent of change, in demand by the media, who sees beyond what others see.
I would recommend studying at UFV because the training given to students is not only theoretical, but especially practical. Despite its growth, the university has maintained the idiosyncrasies of a small institution, with close professors and a friendly atmosphere.
The UFV awakened my curiosity about the world around me and taught me the importance of doubt as a tool to always seek the truth, which is essential in my profession.
Studying here and, now, teaching at this university, gives me a lot on a personal level, because of the values that all the people who are part of this great family transmit.
At UFV I have lived multiple volunteer experiences and I could not imagine that this was going to change both my university career and my life. Thanks to UFV for ‘making life’ also outside the classroom.

UFV made my dream of becoming a journalist come true. Here I forged my foundations as a professional. I entered as a student and two decades later I am still a professor, with the same spirit as an apprentice and the same passion for journalism.
