The UFV International Doctoral School was created to train a new generation of excellent researchers who develop innovative projects that advance society, put ethical values first and respect the dignity of the person. The EIDUFV aims to be a national and international benchmark in the training of doctoral candidates who seek the true and the good.

CROSS-CUTTING TRAINING ACTIVITIES

Dear students, 

We inform you that registration is open for the Statistics Course, organized by the International Doctoral School of the UFV (EIDUFV), until February 26, 2025.

Total classroom hours: 20 hours

MODULE 1: DESCRIPTIVE AND INFERENTIAL STATISTICS (12 hrs)

March 4,11,18, 25 and April 1,8, 2025 (Module 1) from 03:30 pm to 05:30 pm.

MODULE 2: REGRESSION MODELS and FACTOR ANALYSIS (8 hrs)

April 22, 29, and May 6,13 2025 (Module 2) from 03:30 pm to 05:30 pm.

General objective:

The objective of this course is to introduce students in PhD programs to basic and advanced statistical techniques that can be useful to them during their doctoral research. For this purpose we use two statistical tools: GraphPad Prism and SPSS.

Methodology: will combine theoretical explanation with the resolution of practical cases using Excel and GraphPad Prism.

Pre-registration: FORM., until February 26.

The registration will be done on a first-come, first-served basis until the number of places is reached, with priority given to students enrolled in the Doctoral Program of the EIDUFV.

Evaluation method:

The evaluation will be done through the resolution of practical cases through class attendance and participation in the activities proposed during the course. It is necessary to attend at least 80% of the sessions to pass the course.

INTERNATIONAL MOBILITY

Open call for mobility grants for EIDUFVl

The International Mobility Program for EDIUFV students aims to promote the internationalization of doctoral programs by funding stays of EDIUFV doctoral students in at prestigious foreign institutions for the development of part of their research. The call is open throughout the academic year and aims to promote the internationalization actions of the EIDUFV through the development of doctoral theses with international mention and theses under international co-supervision.
