RESEARCH
The priority lines of research of the Escuela Politécnica Superior are encompassed in an interdisciplinary framework of the areas of knowledge that compose it, seeking an integrated vision. The main topics are: AI and Applications, Sustainable Transport, Energy and Sustainability, Advanced Materials, Robotics, Accessibility, Engineering and Women (ICT), Social Engineering, Intelligent Heritage, Urban Strategies, Smart Cities, Circular Economy.
The Escuela Politécnica Superior is committed to interdisciplinary research reinforced by strong partnerships with other faculties and institutions, inside and outside the UFV, national and international. Research is part of the teaching community, integrating naturally into the lives of professors and students. Research is carried out in research communities and groups in the lines of strategic interest for the mission of the Escuela Politécnica Superior and the UFV.
TEACHING STAFF
The EPS faculty community accompanies and invites each person to personally embody the spirit and mission of the UFV, generating true experiences of encounter. It is made up of faculty with a high level of quality in teaching, composed of professors with a long academic career, linked to research lines and projects in different forums, and professional experts, who combine their activity in the company with their teaching vocation. A culture of learning and continuous improvement is fostered in the community.

The university experience is one of our main pillars. EPS students have a wide range of possibilities to live their university stage to the fullest, enriching themselves with the encounter with students from other Degrees and other Faculties, student societies and clubs.
OPTIMUS
Each year, the Optimus Award recognizes the EPS student who the school’s professors consider to have made the best use of their time at the university. In short, an opportunity to make an extraordinary experience of their university years, both inside and outside the classroom, taking in “their backpack” transforming experiences that will serve them for their professional life and for the rest of the areas where they are also the key players in their training.
CLASSROOMS, FACILITIES AND MATERIAL RESOURCES OF THE FACULTY
SPACES CREATED TO TRAIN PROFESSIONALS
Study Architecture or any of our engineering programs and you will undertake real projects from the first year, led by key companies in the sector. All our classrooms are equipped with the necessary technology for videoconferencing and encourage interaction between students and professors. It has the most advanced facilities, you will have at your disposal highly equipped laboratories, project rooms, a model room and the FAB LAB, which has the latest means: laser and vinyl cutters, 3D printers, sharpening machines, etc.
FAB LAB
You will learn how to use the programs and the latest technology in our FAB LAB (laser cutting, additive manufacturing, milling, 3D printing…)
MSI
You will be able to study at our MSI, which has the best high-tech center in Europe, the Motor & Sport Institute, where you will have the latest technological equipment at your disposal.
EXTERNAL AND INSTITUTIONAL RELATIONS
The Escuela Politécnica Superior has great alliances with the main companies in the sector, we have different Chairs and agreements with all of them. Students will be in contact with these companies from the first day in events and activities offered in the different university degrees. In many of these companies, students will find their first work experience.
The Escuela Politécnica Superior has an active presence in different international activities. The faculty and the administrative and service staff regularly collaborate with foreign centers, in which physical or virtual mobility activities of professors, researchers, students and administrative and service staff are carried out in both directions (incoming and outgoing). The subjects of the different university degrees incorporate an international perspective and are present in international forums.
COMPANY INTERNSHIPS
If you wish, during your university degree, the Careers Department will help you find your first work experience.
These internships will give you the opportunity to take your first steps in the professional field and allow companies to get to know you while you are still a student. Thanks to these internships, 93% of our students find a job at the end of their studies .
