FACULTY OF COMMUNICATION SCIENCES
QUALITY
Universidad Francisco de Vitoria commenced operations in the 1993-1994 academic year as a center affiliated with the Complutense University of Madrid, operating under the name Centro Universitario Francisco de Vitoria. In the same academic year, the Faculty of Communication Sciences was established with a university degree in Journalism. The objective was to become a leading center for training in communication sciences with a focus on the individual. Subsequently, the university was granted full accreditation as a private institution of higher education under Law 7/2001, of July 3, 2001, which confers full official status to all the university degrees it offers. In the 2003-2004 academic year, the Centro Universitario became the Universidad Francisco de Vitoria and began offering its official university degrees.
To align with the requirements of the EHEA, the existing university degrees offered by the Faculty (Journalism, Audiovisual Communication, Advertising and Public Relations, Fine Arts and Design) have been converted to University Degrees since 2008.
The Faculty’s primary objective is to cultivate a university community of individuals who are committed to pursuing truth, goodness, and beauty. Through their education and leadership, they aim to facilitate a Christian transformation of society and culture.
