Intelligence is currently undergoing an unprecedented expansion. This discipline is no longer limited to the public sector, or to National Security matters, but is also key in economic, political and energy matters, or in sectors such as communication, marketing or, of course, private security.
Why this intelligence boom? The main product of the 21st century is information and above all knowledge (personal data, know-how, patents, creations, blockchain, cyberspace, fake news, industrial espionage, market analysis, finance, and a long etcetera). Information and data are essential, and the best way to process them to make decisions, anticipate risks and identify opportunities is through Intelligence.
The collection, analysis, evaluation, dissemination and use of information; the implementation of security measures to protect knowledge and information; specialized analysis to design strategies and make decisions, among others, are daily activities for a large majority of States, companies, institutions, NGOs and international organizations.
