As a member of our research team, you will have the opportunity to conduct your own research project while contributing to one of our university’s 15 research groups. These groups focus on a range of cutting-edge fields, including oncology, gene and cell therapy, neuroscience, microbial biotechnology, and computational biophysics.
The Clinical Simulation Center at UFV provides invaluable hands-on experience in managing real hospital scenarios. The Anatomy Room in the School of Medicine offers a unique opportunity to gain insights into the intricacies of the human body, enabling the development of tailored treatments and therapies for each patient.
You will be studying at a leading university in the field of experimental sciences, as we have over 20 years of experience in training biotechnologists who now work in the best laboratories in the world, as well as a teaching staff with extensive international and research experience.
You will have the opportunity to complete national and international rotations at prestigious institutions such as Harvard Medical School, Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, CNIO, Imperial College of London, Mayo Clinic, etc. You will also do rotations in pharmacy offices and hospitals such as Hospital 12 de Octubre and Hospital San Rafael, among many others.

In the state-of-the-art laboratories, you will learn how to conduct research
Your classes will be held in state-of-the-art research laboratories, equipped with the latest technology (multiphoton microscopes, flow cytometers, mass spectrometers, etc.). You will have the opportunity to perform cell cultures, molecular analysis, and apply chemical and nanotechnological techniques. Our campus is situated in a distinctive setting and is regarded as one of the most outstanding in Europe, offering state-of-the-art facilities to equip you with the skills you need to excel in your chosen profession.
Internships in pharmacies, hospitals and research centers
The program offers the opportunity to complete internships at leading national and international research centers and biotechnology companies for a period of four continuous months. Internship placements are available at prestigious institutions such as Yale School of Medicine, Harvard Medical School, the German Cancer Research Center, Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, Newcastle University, Imperial College London, Mayo Clinic, and others.
Furthermore, as a pharmacy student, you will complete supervised internships in pharmacy offices or hospitals, including Hospital Sanitas La Moraleja, Hospital Ramón y Cajal, Hospital San Rafael, Hospital La Milagrosa, and others.
International Agreements
The program offers the opportunity to study for a semester or a year at universities in America, Europe, and Asia, including the University of South Carolina (USA), Zurich University (Switzerland), Universidad Anahuac (Mexico), and the Università degli Studi di Bologna (Italy). Furthermore, you will reside on campus with students from a variety of nationalities and have access to the Language Center.
