Your dream of studying will come true in 700m2 of specialised teaching laboratories and a research laboratory of more than 300m2 that houses 5 research groups working in cutting-edge fields: oncology, gene and cell therapy, neurosciences and microbial biotechnology.
You will undertake mandatory internships in research centres and hospitals, both nationally and internationally, at places such as Imperial College London, Harvard Medical School or Mount Sinai School of Medicine, and many more.
You will enjoy over 500 hours of practical training in small groups to develop all your technical skills in contact with the latest technology.
At the UFV, in addition to your university degree, you can also obtain a Diploma in Entrepreneurship and Innovation Project Management with a specialisation in Medical or Clinical Research, which will allow you to differentiate and specialize.
You will study in state-of-the-art facilities with specialized laboratories (cell culture, advanced microscopy, histopathology…)and research laboratories.You will also have access to an advanced clinical simulation center.

Internships in companies
Our students have a wide range of placements in biomedical research centers, hospitals and national and international companies. These placements allow students to enrich their education and develop their professional skills and abilities before entering the labour market.

Biomedicine, a tool to transform the world
Health is facing unprecedented challenges and biomedicine plays a crucial role in this scenario. At UFV, we train professionals capable of “revolutionizing” the sector by bringing together science and ethics to address challenges such as the development of gene therapies, the improvement of AI diagnostics or the creation of vaccines. Our humanistic approach promotes scientific excellence combined with responsible innovation.
One of the things I like most as a professor in the Faculty of Experimental Sciences is the excellent practical training the students receive. At the end of the four years of the university degree, students finish with an excellent experimental training. This, added to the internships at various leading institutions in the sector, makes a big difference in the student’s professional life. Another aspect I would like to highlight is the humanistic training our students receive. Thanks to it, they are able to face situations that arise in the development of their professional career from a more humanized point of view. Finally, the pedagogy that the University follows, accompanying and putting the student’s life at the center, is another of the very positive aspects that I see as a professor of these university degrees.
Since I entered the UFV, I have had many opportunities to train myself in the field of science, from classes, seminars, courses to practical hours in university laboratories that have allowed me to have a very good basis to feel confident in myself in my internship in Germany
