Engineering physics is not only about abstract concepts, but has a great application in many sectors. Therefore, you will learn in a very practical way with real cases, workshops, simulations, visits to research centers, companies, etc.
You will be able to do internships in leading companies in innovation and technology, in sectors as renewable energies, logistics, quantum computing or biophysics.
You will combine two areas with great projection: physics and engineering. Unlike the university degree in Physics, more focused on theory, with this university degree you will design innovative technologies (smart devices, medical equipment and robots), you will acquire a solid scientific base and you will deepen in concepts of Quantum Physics or Statistical Mechanics.
You can participate in research groups of the UFV in areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Sustainable Transport, Advanced Materials, Robotics, Engineering and Women in ICT, etc.
Throughout the academic year, you willgo ontraining trips and attend conferences with experts in medical physics, statistical mechanics, astrophysics, energy and intelligent materials, among other topics.

You will have the opportunity to launch your own business at the Entrepreneurship Center of the UFV, as well as participate in student societies as Debating Society or AdaByron, a club about programming and algorithmics.
Simultaneously to the university degree, you will specialize with a diploma in Quantum Computing, a program developed with IBM, that will train you in the newest computing paradigm.
Diploma in Quantum Computing
You will simultaneously study the bilingual diploma in Quantum Computing, an innovative and pioneering diploma, developed together with IBM professionals, focused on training you in one of the most innovative computing paradigms and of great application in fields such as cryptography or biomedicine, where problems arise that companies cannot solve by traditional methods due to their complexity
Internships in national and international companies
You will be able to carry out professional internships in leading high-tech companies and research centers in fields as varied as quantum computing, aerospace engineering or energy storage and production. Thanks to this experience, 85% of our students receive a job offer before the end of their internship period.
International Agreements
We have more than 200 exchange agreements with universities in Europe, America and Asia, so you can study abroad for a term or academic year . In addition, you will live on campus with students of different nationalities and you will have access to the Language Center.
