Excellence in Teacher Training Scholarship

This program is designed for students pursuing a degree in either Early Childhood Education or Primary Education with a strong interest in teaching and a profile aligned with the mission of the Universidad Francisco de Vitoria. The scholarship covers 100% of tuition costs, with the exception of the reservation of a place for new students. It also includes participation in a dedicated training programme.

Application period

Please be advised that the single application period for this scholarship is from June 15 to 30, 2024. This applies to both newly admitted students and those already enrolled at UFV.

How to access the program

At the beginning of the course: before the beginning of the first year of the course, when the student’s profile meets the following requirements:

  • Minimum average grade of baccalaureate, having completed the Baccalaureate in the 2023/ 2024 call.
  • Average grade of 8 in Mathematics and Language.
  • Level B2 English.
  • Commitment to education.

The selection process will consist of:

  • Passing the UFV admission test.
  • Please submit a letter of recommendation from an appropriate institution, foundation, or parish (if applicable).
  • Evaluation of a motivation letter to study the Bachelor’s Degree in Education.
  • Evaluation of the family unit’s Personal Income Tax Return for the year 2023, which will be submitted together with the rest of the documentation.
  • Interview with the degree program director.

During the degree program:

Students may submit their application to join the program at any point during the duration of the degree program. The committee, appointed by the degree program, will be responsible for evaluating the candidates’ profiles in line with the values of the UFV Degree in Education.

The selection process will consist of:

1º Submission of the following documentation:

  • IRPF declaration for the fiscal year 2023.

2º Interview with the management and the dean of the degree program studied.
3º Resolution.

The scholarships of the Program of Excellence in Teacher Training are subject to the economic fund destined to this program.

Those who, after completing a Undergraduate Degree in Education (Primary or Early Childhood), decide to choose the possibility of studying another specialty of said Degree (no major), may apply for the UFV Alumni Discount. More information here.

Renewal

The scholarship granted in the previous year will be reviewed annually taking into account the requirements of permanence in the Program and the general conditions of scholarships. It is necessary to pass all subjects in ordinary call and obtain a weighted average grade of at least 8.50* points , as well as to make the application through the student’s university portal within the deadlines established for this purpose and attach the documentation detailed above. (All subjects, including those of Own Title, if applicable, will be taken into account for the calculation of the average grade).

*The fact of obtaining the required grade is one more requirement within the overall assessment of the student’s career. Therefore, it does not grant immediate renewal.

The scholarships of the Teacher Training Excellence Program are subject to the economic fund destined to this program.

Individuals who have completed a Undergraduate Degree in Education (Primary or Early Childhood) and subsequently decide to pursue another specialty within the same degree program (excluding the aforementioned option) may be eligible for the UFV Alumni Discount. Further information.here.

HOURS OF ATTENTION TO THE PUBLIC (PRESENT) DURING AUGUST 2024:

From August 5 to 9 and from August 26 to 30: from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. Telephone and e-mail service will be available until 6:00 p.m. (Monday to Thursday, Friday until 3:00 p.m.).

From August 12 to 25 the Study Aid Service will be closed.
