The most employable university in biotechnology
Our teaching methodology, supported by recognized experts, as well as our innovative curriculum and international placements, have allowed us to achieve the highest placement rate in Biotechnology in the Community of Madrid and become the best private university in Spain to study a degree in Experimental Sciences.
Are you having second thoughts about studying biotechnology?
Why is UFV the best choice to study biotechnology?
The UFV offers an unparalleled opportunity for those with a passion for research. From the outset, students will have access to over500 hours of hands-on experience in laboratories and reduced class sizes. This allows them to engage in experimentation, testing, and innovation with the latest technology, comparable to that found in a professional laboratory setting.
You will be able to participate in open research groups at the UFV that depend on the Institute of Biosanitary Research (IIB): oncology, gene and cell therapy, neuroscience and microbial biotechnology
In addition to taking a degree in Biotechnology, you will specialize with a diploma in Biotechnology Research Methodology and you will set up your own research project in the fourth year of your degree
We have over 20 years’ experienceof training biotechnologists to work in the best research laboratories in the world, and an outstanding teaching staff who are also involved in research projects in a variety of areas.
You will complete a compulsory internship at national and international research centres such as Harvard Medical School (Boston), Yale School of Medicine (Connecticut) or the Centro Nacional de Investigaciones Oncológicas (Madrid).
And the best part! You will live the university experience on one of the best campuses in Europe and can join sports teams, student societies, study abroad or sign up for missions, volunteering and dozens of activities.
Internships in national and international companies
You will carry out your professional internship in biotechnology research centres, hospitals and pharmaceutical companies in Spain and abroad. This internship will allow you to enter the world of work, participate in major research projects and develop your professional skills.
International Agreements
In addition to placements in international hospitals and research centers such as Imperial College of London, Harvard Medical School or Mount Sinai School of Medicine, you can study at a university in America, Europe or Asia and live on campus with students from many different countries.
We train researchers to lead major scientific breakthroughs
The field of biotechnology is constantly evolving and requires experts capable of integrating scientific advances with a solid ethical background. At the UFV, you will be trained with an approach that balances technology and the humanities, taking subjects that encourage reflection and respect for human dignity. In this way, you will be able to transform industries with your research, always placing the human being at the center of each project.
