At UFV you will be able to see firsthand how a dietitian-nutritionist works and do clinical practice in the Nutrition Service of the CAIF, a health center of the Community of Madrid that is located within the campus itself, where you will learn with real patients in rooms with Gesell chamber.

You will delve into the latest trends of the sector with an innovative and rigorous syllabus, based on scientific evidence. You will explore fields such as nutritional genomics, immunonutrition, chrononutrition and high-performance sports nutrition, among others.
You will carry out professional internships in two areas: in the food industry, in companies such as Danone, Campofrío or Calidad Pascual; and in hospitals and health centers such as Hospital 12 de Octubre, Hospital Ruber Internacional and Hospital Universitario Puerta de Hierro.
You will acquire the international competencies of the Dietitian-Nutritionist recognized by the ICDA (International Confederation of Dietetic Associations) with more than 350 hours of practical training so that you can practice this REGULATED profession.
Your professors will be experts in food, dietetics, nutritional epidemiology, etc., and you will always be connected with them through the Canvas platform , used by prestigious universities such as Harvard, Oxford or Stanford.
You will discover how nutrition and good communication with the patient influence health at the UFV Clinical Simulation Center. In the Anatomy Room of the Faculty of Medicine, you will master the most important software in your sector and learn with case studies.
You have the option of studying this university degree in blended learning mode, with an adapted program for you to have online classes and on-campus practices.

At UFV, we train you as a specialist in person-centered nutrition, because you will only be able to help your patients with a human, global and integrative view and understanding all the dimensions of nutrition.
Company Internships
In the third year, you will do your internship in companies in the food industry such as Danone, Calidad Pascual, Campofrío, Grupo Siro, Lactalis, Coca-Cola or Tetra Pak. And, in the fourth year, you will do your internship in public and private health centers such as Hospital Universitario 12 de Octubre, Hospital Ruber Internacional, Hospital Universitario Puerta de Hierro and Hospital Beata María Ana, among others.
International Agreements
We have more than 200 exchange agreements, so you can study at a university in America, Europe or Asia, where you will discover different models and trends in Nutrition. In addition, you will live on the UFV campus with students of different nationalities.

- In research. You will carry out basic or applied research in the field of food, nutrition and dietetics and will be able to form part of a multidisciplinary research team.
- In teaching. You will be able to teach both in formal education (different levels of the public and private educational system) and in continuing education (courses, seminars, workshops).
- As a specialist in communication. You will be able to specialize in communication and scientific dissemination of nutrition for the media, companies and organizations.
