SCIENCE AND INNOVATION WEEK
UNIVERSIDAD FRANCISCO DE VITORIA
Your computer takes the rehabilitator to your home. COVID will no longer leave you without rehabilitation.
We welcome you to a journey through the path of translational research. We have created an on-line activity that will take you on a journey through all the disciplines that collaborate for the generation of a technological project for rehabilitation at home.
In the first part available on this page you will be guided by several professionals involved in the process of creating the project and you will learn more about the importance of multidisciplinary work.
A second part will be developed on the day of the activity via the link provided for the live session. The session will include demonstrations of various machines with video games available at the rehabilitation centre. The machines will be shown to illustrate their functionality and applications in the rehabilitation of the hand and upper limb, as well as their potential benefits for individuals with disabilities. Following the demonstrations, there will be an opportunity for questions and answers. The session will be recorded for your reference and convenience. In conclusion, a link will be provided for access to the demonstration game, marking the commencement of a project to facilitate rehabilitation in the home environment. The final game will be made available as it is developed, as this project will be ongoing throughout the year.
The project will be accessible on this website, allowing you to review it as often as you wish. Our aim is to provide you with a comprehensive understanding of the project generation process and the ways in which you can contribute to it. You will also find a series of videos outlining other projects undertaken by our research group at the conclusion of this presentation.
1. Identify the problem.
Many patients have stopped rehabilitation because of COVID-19.
2. Use knowledge to identify solutions.
What alterations can produce a lack of mobility in the hand?
3. Identify all the variables of the solution.
What is the usual neurorehabilitation procedure?
4. Identify one of the variables where an innovation can be introduced to enhance or improve the conventional solution.
5. Generation of an innovative and accessible idea that minimizes the problem or helps to solve it.
