ARCHIVING SERVICE

UFV ARCHIVE

The functions of the Archive Service of the UFV are developed in the Regulations of the Archive Service – chapt. 1, art. 1-, approved by the Steering Committee of the University at the proposal of its Secretary General on June 15, 2010:

”The Archive Service’s primary objectives are to organize and conserve the General Archive of the University, anticipate and fulfill the University’s information and documentation needs for effective administrative management, provide access to the University’s documentation, and facilitate the information and documentation necessary for historical research. These objectives are pursued in alignment with the existing legal and regulatory framework.”

SERVICES RENDERED

1.Transfer, treatment and custody of documentation generated by departments and services, ensuring its integrity.

2.Access to information and internal lending.

3.Training of users in office filing tasks and consultation of the Archive’s database.

4.Coordination of digitization services requested by departments for conservation purposes.

5.Information and reference to other documentary sources.

6.Attention to suggestions, complaints and claims from users regarding the services offered by the Archive.
