sherpa romeo INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND COPYRIGHT Estudiar en Universidad Privada Madrid

To facilitate the work of researchers on the version to be made publicly available, the Sherpa/Romeo project
was created. This project studies the policies of scientific publishers with respect to open access and copyright agreements between authors and publishers. The Spanish domain Dulcinea identifies and analyzes the editorial policies of Spanish journals with respect to access to their texts and archives, the copyright on them and how these may affect their subsequent self-archiving or deposit in institutional or subject-specific repositories.

The Creative Commons licensesare designed to provide a more flexible framework for navigating the complex landscape of intellectual property law. They facilitate a balance between the rights of authors and the needs of users by allowing authors to transfer specific rights over their work, while reserving the remainder. This approach is encapsulated in the slogan “some rights reserved.”

These licenses are tailored to align with the unique legislative frameworks of each country.
