CORPORATE SOCIAL VOLUNTEERING
WHAT DOES THIS CONSIST OF?
UFV as a community seeks truth and goodness. In addition, we want to foster in our professors and employees a vocation for leadership. But by leadership we mean a virtuous attitude of service to society, both by developing one’s talents for the common good, as well as by being sensitive to people with special needs. Training in this sensitivity also has to do with the Catholic inspiration of the UFV: one’s gifts can always be put into play to collaborate in making the world a better place. Generosity and affection will help us develop our professional skills and enrich our environment.
In response to the mission, the University must recover its role as an agent of social change. That is why we wish to offer the UFV community the possibility of “contributing to society men and women who are more than just good professionals and who, together with their good professional work, live a continuous search for truth and good in their companies, their families and society”.
With corporate social volunteering, UFV employees find a way to give an outlet for their concerns of solidarity service, making this effort compatible with their professional dedication.
