Some people think that doing a college degree consists of going to class, doing internships, studying, and answering questions on exams accurately. That would be a very narrow view of all that the university experience and the campus experience at UFV offers. Doing a degree includes all that and much more: it is a life experience, full of relationships with other people, in which all participants (students, professors, administrative and service staff) participate in a cultured coexistence that serves to broaden the horizon of their interests, to discover the complexity of the world and to acquire the tools that will help them to act in that complexity. That is why the campus of the Universidad Francisco de Vitoria is the backdrop for an endless number of activities, events and realities that contribute to the comprehensive training of our students.

At UFV, the university experience is extended beyond the classroom, giving all students access to an range of options that stand out for their variety, quality and for constituting another pillar in the commitment of the Francisco de Vitoria University with the comprehensive training in all the dimensions of the person.

Conferences, seminars, workshops and lectures are held every year. The Cultural Activities department also organizes off-campus visits, film series, seminars, lectures… The Sports department is not far behind, with more than 18,500 square meters dedicated to physical activity, with a Sports Center with a swimming pool. At UFV there are 12 university teams, including men’s and women’s teams.

Likewise, we provide all our students with an Educational Guidance Office that accompanies students to improve their academic performance and help them in their professional discernment. The University Pastoral Department attends to the spiritual dimension of all those who so desire and organizes activities of doctrinal formation, personal spiritual direction, attention to the sacraments (especially the Eucharist and confession), formation of Christian life groups or support for existing ones, so that everyone has the opportunity to grow in their Christian life, or to discover the faith. In Social Action we coordinate the social internships, which are carried out by two thousand students each year, and volunteer activities, in which more than one thousand students participate each year.

Most of these activities are also accredited with ECTs. This allows students to complete a cross-cutting training program from the first year of their degree and validate it with the subject “Complementary Training Activities”, an optional course that can be taken in the third or fourth year, depending on each degree.

The student societies and clubs that belong to the Department of University Extension – “Debate Society”, “Business Generation”, “Theatre Group ¡Ay de mí, triste!, “UFV Consulting”, “Misiones y Desarrollo Social”, Coro UFV, Musgoletus, Be the Change, UFV Mun, VAS (Voluntarios por la Acción Social), Sociedad de Estudios Políticos, Academia de Aliados – close this offer that allows students to deploy themselves, both in areas related to their academic vocation and in transversal issues to it, turning UFV into a living Campus, centered on the person.

In University Extension is the Coordination of Students and Delegates, an area that ensures the proper functioning of the delegation within the campus, accompanying and training student representatives.
