COLLABORATION BETWEEN UFV AND TELEFÓNICA

TELEFÓNICA CHAIR

Comprising 21 Chairs in Spain and 25 public and private universities, the Telefónica Chairs Network allows collaboration between the University and Telefónica for training, research and knowledge transfer purposes, with the shared aim of analyzing the current situation and identifying trends on the impact of ICT on society from a “multidisciplinary” perspective. Each of chair has its own “specialization” from which they focus their activities and contribute to the Network to become a leading think tank in studying of the impact of ICT in society, with a secondary aim of disseminating and communicating the most relevant results.

Specifically, the Telefónica – Universidad Francisco de Vitoria “Big Data & Business Analytics” Chair, directed by Mary Luz Mouronte López, PhD. in Telecommunications Engineering and professor at the Higher Polytechnic School, carries out the following activities:

  • Cooperation in the promotion and development of entrepreneurship programs and search for talent.
  • Execution of end-of-university-degree projects.
  • Teaching of courses.
  • Organization of events, such as workshops, hackathons, etc.
