The VEC Takes Part in the Family Gathering at Sagrados Corazones School in Talavera de la Reina
On Sunday, 9th March 2025, the Virtue and Values Education Centre (VEC) participated in the Family Gathering at Sagrados Corazones School in Talavera de la Reina, an event that brought together 90 families, with over 180 attendees.
During the day, Verónica Fernández, Director of the CEV, and Nicole Haddad, Head of Training, delivered a talk titled “Shaping Our Children’s Character: Education in Virtues”. The session addressed key topics such as the reality of young people in Spain, the importance of the educational alliance between school and family, the concept of character education, and the role of virtues. In particular, it explored the virtues of temperance and fortitude, which are essential in today’s world.
Attendees took part in enriching group activities, whose insights will be considered by the Character Ambassadors in the implementation of the Cultural Transformation programme at the school.
Meanwhile, children and their families enjoyed games and shared a delicious meal prepared by the school’s sisters.
Our Centre sincerely thanks Sister María García, the school’s Headteacher, for her invitation and her commitment to character education.
