INTERNATIONAL ERASMUS+ DAYS

Don’t miss the International Erasmus+ Days at UFV from October 15th to 17th! This is a unique opportunity for incoming students to immerse themselves in an international experience on campus, meet local and international peers, and showcase your own culture. You’ll have the chance to participate in exciting activities like international speed dating, cultural presentations, and even a multicultural food competition. It’s your moment to share what makes your country unique, while learning more about Spain and other countries around the world.

Whether you join as a participant, a speaker, or a facilitator, you’ll be contributing to the spirit of global exchange. We can’t wait to see how you make these days unforgettable!

MONDAY, OCTOBER 14TH

Interculturality through Theater Workshop
Aula Prácticas Magisterio, Basement -2, Building H

This workshop is part of the course “Communication through Drama” and will be open on Monday (in English) and Tuesday (in Spanish) to local students who wish to connect with Erasmus+ and bilateral exchange students through various acting exercises.

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 15TH

International Speed Dating

An activity that brings together students currently on Erasmus+ or bilateral exchange at UFV (incoming) and local full-time students, aiming to foster the integration of the former and the internationalization of the latter, while practicing languages. Every 10 minutes, pairs will change, and a new question related to a different topic will be introduced.

Voices of the world: “Discover my culture”

This space is designed for incoming students to present their home countries and share their traditions, customs, and unique cultural features. The goal is to foster understanding and respect for cultural diversity, enriching attendees with new perspectives on different ways of life.

Beginners: LATAM Kahoot with snacks and presentations

An event organized by UFV Beginners, a welcoming program for international students completing their degree at UFV. Over coffee and country presentations, a cultural quiz will be held via Kahoot. The winner will be the one who answers the most questions correctly about LATAM countries where beginners and incoming students come from. Afterwards, there will be themed round tables where participants can interact and learn more about the different represented cultures.

This session is aimed at students interested in participating in Erasmus+ or bilateral exchanges during their studies. Mini sessions will be held where testimonies from students who have already taken part in international mobility programs will be shared. Two mini sessions will take place: from 12:00 to 12:30 and from 12:30 to 13:00.

A fast-paced, dynamic session where incoming (international) students and local students will meet through brief conversation exchanges. Participants will have the opportunity to share experiences and learn more about different cultures and perspectives, promoting integration and networking.

This session will provide information about international mobility opportunities for students interested in going on an exchange. Available programs, requirements, and how to apply will be discussed.

Buddy Program international food competition
Square

An international food competition organized within the Buddy Program, aimed at fostering integration between local and international students. Each participant will decide whether to prepare their dish individually or in a small group. Each dish must take around 2-3 hours to prepare to be eligible for the competition. The event will feature a panel of judges who will evaluate the dishes based on three categories: most traditional dish, most elaborate dish, and best presentation. Three prizes will be awarded at the end.

International AFCs: opportunities on campus and testimonials

During this session, students who have participated in International Complementary Formative Activities (AFCs), such as UFV Planet, the Buddy Program, the multicultural workshop Icarus, or International Theater, will share their experiences. Through these testimonials, attendees will learn about various internationalization opportunities on campus, inspiring other students to join these initiatives and take advantage of the university’s global growth opportunities.

WANT TO BE A FACILITATOR DURING THE EVENT?

You also have the opportunity to register as a facilitator for the International Erasmus+ Days, allowing you to actively participate in the event. As a volunteer, during 4-hour shifts, you will be assigned different tasks, which can range from providing information at internationalization tables to promoting the event around campus or facilitating activities. It’s an excellent opportunity to get involved in this multicultural event and contribute to its success. Your participation will make a difference!

ECTS

The maximum number of ECTS that can be earned during the International Erasmus+ Days is 1 ECTS, which can be obtained in various forms of participation: as an attendee of activities, as a presenter, contestant, or facilitator of the event.

This event is aimed at UFV administrative and service staff (PAS), professors, and international officers. In it, testimonies will be shared about international mobility experiences through programs such as “International Weeks”, the European SUCTI project focused on the internationalization of universities, and BIPs (Blended Intensive Programs). In addition to hearing these testimonies, attendees will discover how to actively participate in these internationalization opportunities, both on and off campus.

WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 16TH

SIP & SPEAK: language exchange for professors and PAS

An informal gathering where administrative staff (PAS) and professors practice languages while enjoying coffee. In a relaxed environment, participants will converse in different languages, guided by a moderator, fostering the improvement of language skills and cultural exchange within the university community.

This activity, aimed at UFV administrative and service staff (PAS) and professors, will offer informative sessions on international mobility opportunities, such as Erasmus+. It will conclude with a lunch designed to encourage interaction and the exchange of experiences among faculty and administrative staff. It will be a space to learn about mobility programs, share ideas, and strengthen internationalization.
